I wanted to show my family more of Italy. It was selfish, really. I wanted them to fall so in love with this country, silently hoping that they would return again.
We went south. I’ve had the honor of seeing this particular part of the world a few times. We hopped on the train and arrived in bella Napoli in no time. Over the next 48 hours, we saw Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, and Salerno. It was fast, but it was worth it.
We laughed, danced, ate, celebrated, and created beautiful memories together. It really does feel like a movie. Am I dreaming? Is this place actually real?
In the States, we try our hardest to recreate something that merely looks old. Here, it actually is old. Every corner whispers a different story. These are the things I’m in love with.
Andiamo. Get lost with me.
